Walking Tours of San Miguel —Patronato Pro-Niños sponsors regularly scheduled walking tours that take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Groups form in the Jardin across from the Parroquia (large church) at 9:45 AM, and leave at 10:00 AM. Patronato Pro-Niños is a nonprofit organization, and all the proceeds go to needful children in the area to cover medical and dental visits.

The popular Sunday House and Garden Tour which gives you a rare peek at the luxurious gardens and casas hidden behind the imposing Moorish walls of the town. Departs every Sunday at noon fromthe Bibilioteca Publica.

Abother worthwhile tour is the Saturday Adventure Tour, which taes you out of town to visit working ranchos and large haciendas. The Tour is sponsored by the non-profit Centro de Crecimiento (for disabled children) and departs from the Jardin at 10:30 AM for a three-hours journey.

Library--The Biblioteca Publica is the largest English language library in Mexico. Teatro Santa Ana offers art and documentary films, dance/theatre performances, and great cafe in front. One-on-one language tutoring sessions are performed as a service to local Mexicans eager to learn English, as well as the reverse, throughout the couryard.

Instituto Allende is an accredited institute specializing in the Arts and Spanish classes, with a wide variety of courses for the visual artist.

Hot Springs: La Gruta and Escondido are two variations on the vein of thermal baths that course through this region. At least 5 pools at each "balneario" vary in temperature and have a directed waterfall pumping from the source, massagin waters onto sore muscles. The restaurant at La Gruta is worthy of note, with some of the best chips adn salsa to whet your appetite.

Cooking Classes: Patsy knows the gift of food AND magic, and puts the two together in both her catering and her cooking classes.

Shopping is truly a pleasure in San Miguel. There are lovely, unique boutiques on every Centro street.
